In this project, an online membership database system will be developed for the Hong Kong Contract Bridge Association (HKCBA) for access and maintenance through the Internet.

HKCBA members can log on and perform online enquiry, personal information amendment easily through the Internet. As the association's administrator updates competition results and other relevant information immediately, members will be able to access their most up to date scores and ranking. The system reduces the workload of the administrator by dynamically displaying the updated information in database on the web. The system also provides an automatic function for the HKCBA to send notices and messages to its members through email, fax or by post.

The current database, in MS Access format, will be converted to SQL Server. The SQL Server database will be linked by ASP to the website. The system maintains the security, concurrency and integrity of the backend server.
