Social Event: An Unforgettable Night at the Revolving Restaurant and Shanghai’s Urban Development History Museum in the Oriental Pearl TV Tower

Time: Evening of December 4, 2011 (Detailed time will be announced later)

What could be better than tasting a wide variety of excellent chinese and western cuisines while enjoying the beautiful night view of Shanghai in the Asia’s tallest 360-degree revolving restaurant?

The social event of Web 2011 will be held at the famous revolving restaurant located at the height of 267m of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower just adjacent to the Shanghai International Convention Center. The place is the highest revolving restaurant in Asia, with 1,500 square meters of space. The prime location gives you an impressive dinner service and an unparallel, beautiful view overseeing Shanghai’s nighttime.

The dinner program also includes an after–dinner visit to the Shanghai’s Urban Development History Museum located at the lobby of the Oriental Pearl Tower. The museum consists of six exhibition halls, including “Transportation exhibition”, “Overview of the old city”, “The architectural Landscape of Shanghai at the Beginning of the 20th century”, “The Metropolis infested with foreign adventures”, “Traces of Old Shanghai”, and “Architectures Exhibition”.

The social event, sponsored by East China University of Science and Technology in Shanghai, is free of charge for all registered participants of Web 2011. The guest tickets for the social event are available for RMB 250 per person (roughly US$40. The retail price is RMB 280/person), which can be purchased at the Web reception desk.
