The Sheraton is the nearest hotel to the conference site. We have an overflow contractual agreement with this hotel. Special HICSS rates are valid Monday, January 02, 2006 through Tuesday, January 10, 2006 and based on availability. Rate is based on single or double occupancy and is non-commissionable to travel agents.

Maximum number of people allowed in one room is four.

Room rates are subject to the current 4.16% Hawaii State Tax and the Hawaii Hotel Room Tax of 7.25 % for a total of 11.41%. Additional person rate is $50.00 plus tax per person.   Children 18 years and younger are at no additional charge when accompanied by parents in the same room, using existing beds.   Rollaway charge is additional.

There is a mandatory porterage fee of $5.50 inclusive per person.

The resort amenity fee is optional for HICSS guests. (Currently the resort amenity fee is $26.04 inclusive per room per night and subject to changes.) Note that the Resort Services Fee – if you choose to use it – covers:   Daily Breakfast Buffet for 2, Daily Sunset Mai Tai Punch Hour, Torch Lighting ceremony w/Hula Dancers every evening, Cultural Arts and Crafts, Lei Making & Hula lessons, Kids-Eat-Free at Shells (one child per paying adult max 2 children), discount on selected beach activity rentals, use of Fitness Center, use of Tennis Courts, Guest News Library w/ Internet and Email access, in-room coffee/tea, in-room personal safe, local on-island telephone calls, toll-free and credit card access telephone calls, and self-parking.

SHERATON CANCELLATION POLICY:
At the time of booking a three (3) nights deposits will be charged to the credit card to guarantee the reservation. From the time of booking until 60 days prior to the arrival (e.g. Nov 3 for a Jan 2 arrival) all cancellations received within this time period will be assessed a cancellation penalty of one night’s stay.   All cancellations received within 59 days to 31 days prior to arrival will be assessed a cancellation penalty of two (2) nights stay. All cancellations received within 30 days prior to arrival date and no shows within this period will be charged a penalty of three nights stay.
