Kauai Beach Resort/HICSS Reservation Form

(Formally the Radisson Kauai Beach Resort)

The Kauai Beach Resort is an alternative accommodation that has offered HICSS participants an excellent rate before and after the conference.  For those who are particularly cost-conscious, their rates also are available during the conference.  The hotel is on the Lihue Airport side of the island, and depending on the time of day perhaps an half-hour drive away from the Poipu Beach area where the conference hotel is located.

Directions from the Lihue Airport to the Kauai Beach Resort:

Lihue Airport (the national/international entry) is less than five minutes from the Kauai Beach Resort.

• When exiting the airport turn RIGHT (north) on KAPULE HWY.(51).  The highway name will change to KUHIO HWY (56) at the next traffic light.
• Continue going straight.
• Total distance from the airport to the hotel is approximately 4 miles
• Turn RIGHT at the Kauai Beach Resort sign (Kauai Beach Drive)
• Continue going straight and you will see The Kauai Beach Resort just ahead.

Directions from the Resort to the Conference site:

Total drive time is about 30 minutes, depending on traffic (“Rush” hour is heavier in opposing directions for HICSS guests going to and from the conference)

• Depart Kauai Beach Drive - Turn left (SOUTH) on to Hwy 56 (Kuhio Hwy)  1Min
• At First Intersection, bear right (SOUTH)                                                       1Min
• Keep right (WEST) onto Hwy 56 - Kuhio Hwy                                         2.6Miles
• Road name changes to Hwy 50 (Kaumualii Hwy)                                   6.7 Miles
• Turn Left (SOUTH) onto 520 (Maluhia Rd)                                              2.8 Miles
• Turn LEFT (EAST) onto Wailaau Road                                                   .4 Miles
• Bear LEFT (North-east) onto Local Road                                                .6 Miles
• Arrive Hyatt Regency & the HICSS-39 Conference                               .1 Miles
